His studied at D.a.m.s. and National Institute of journalism, his photography has arned him acclaim as a contemporary artist, editorial & advertising image-maker.
Spanning landscape, making the ordinary extraordinary his editorial work appears in big wallpaper.
Pursuing photography since age 10, where he roamed the railroad and industrial corridors of the Sicily Island, Martino has compiled a visual survey of “Sicilia's” evolving rural, urban and suburban cultural landscapes. Using single photographs as subtle narrative and compiling typologies to index the sicilans character, he revels in the "readymades" found in many of these environments. Influenced by the artist image of Guttuso,Guccione, De Chirico, and other painters, Martino has combined anthropological inquiry and a bleak aesthetic beauty mining the overlooked, the obsolete, the mundane.
Recently Martino has been doing more personal work, exploring more subtle sides of his photography, working mainly on exterior locations.
A lot of later work is dominated by a natural approach and specializes in advertising of wind, photovoltaics, solar energy and renewable energy companies though his emphasis on lighting remains.
